i am very much into blue's clues and tmnt, so any references/blatant favoritism are because of that lmao !!

headcanon list !

i have a really bad habit of talking abt my headcanons/timeline for this au like everyone knows what i'm talking abt, so here's a list !!

mikey's been regressing for years, but he never really knew what it was until he turned 15. since then he's been regressing privately, but he's not, like, uber ashamed about it> whenever he managed to slip in front of his brothers before, they always managed to pass it off as him just being childish

leo hasn't regressed his whole life ! he learned about it when he was 14, and he's been doing it ever since> there was a brief bit where he forced himself to stop so that he could be Mr. Serious Leader, but that backfired spectacularly and he was left in impure regression for Days

mikey's little age is three to five, but he'll occasionally slip older or younger. in impure regression he typically tends to be a little older, from six to eight.
leo's little age is anywhere from one to five! in impure regression he tends to flip between really little and a bit older, around six to seven.
mikey was the one to first "open up" about his regression (he was walked in on twice) but he owns it!! shell yeah he's a regressor, what about it? now that he knows his brothers support him, he couldn't care who else knows ! he's regressed (willingly) very suddenly before, leading to three unprepared big bros with a baby on their hands without warning. because of this leo made them make plans upon plans to deal with sudden regressionon the flipside, leo's still hung up on the whole "leader" thing and typically has a hard time regressing and an even harder time letting people see him regressed. it's always a win when raph or donnie can get him to regress somewhere other than his room, or do more childish things than just watching TV.
mikey is a very VERY loud little !! he is all about making messes and shouting at the top of his lungs and laughing whenever he wants to! he needs lots of stimulating activities and play like tag, finger painting, and karaoke to keep him calm!
again, leo is the opposite. leo is a super calm and chill little who pretty much just wants to watch TV, sleep, and eat food someone else made. he's super easy to take care of because he usually just wants to cuddle
HOWEVER, leo is definitely the most emotional in littlespace!! any comment about him he takes the wrong way could end up with a sniffly kid ! he's very very sensitive and needs a LOT of support. mikey is still his bubbly self and is okay with teasing! he's not likely to cry if things don't go his way - just whine and make puppy dog eyes until they do LMAO
raph is. very much a natural caregiver. he's mikey's main caregiver atm !!
leo is very much a natural caregiver, too ! but he's too busy and prone to regressing himself to really be the cg an energetic mikey needs, so he'll settle for babysitting duty.
donnie is. not. a caregiver like at ALL lmaooo! he definitely supports his brothers and is an avid member of play time, but he should not be left alone with the kiddos. he would probably make normal nuggets instead of dino ones !
leo's favorite TV show is definitely blue's clues ! he doesn't even really care about the content of the show - he just likes the sounds Blue makes !! he also likes Yo Gabba Gabba or Backyardigans, but will always always choose Blue's Clues first! he's not very picky about food, but he Will Not eat peas. that's his only no-no food. they don't know much about his interests yet because he spends so much of his time in littlespace sleeping KDSJFHG
mikey's favorite tv show is... well he doesn't have a favorite! he loves Dora, Martha Speaks, Clifford, Backyardigans... anything that's either super engaging with lots of questions or has funky animals! mikey also isn't a picky eater ! he just won't eat vegetables if you call them vegetables - you Have to call them greens.
april and casey know about mikey's regression, and caesy knows about leo's! leo's brothers don't know that casey knows, though, so it's kinda complicated.> casey has become sort of a caregiver for leo when he feels too bad to go to his brothers! it all happened on accident, so it's very confusing
